Located in the eastern belt of Uttar Pradesh, District Sant Kabir Nagar is named after the revered poet and philosopher Sant Kabir, who lived in the local town of Maghar. The district was officially established on September 5, 1997.
Spanning an area of 1,659.15 square kilometers, the district is an important agricultural region surrounded by Gorakhpur in the east, Basti in the west, Siddharth Nagar in the north, and Ambedkar Nagar in the south.

We serve as your primary resource center for agricultural training, on-farm trials, and frontline demonstrations, delivering scientific solutions tailored directly to the practical needs of our farmers.
How We Support Our Farming Community
We actively work to improve local agriculture and rural livelihoods through the following key initiatives:
- Practical Farmer Training: We organize both short and long-term training programs on our campus and directly in your villages. These courses focus on increasing crop production and are designed to support all farmers, with a special priority on helping small and marginal farmers.
- On-Farm Testing & Demonstrations: We maintain model demonstration farms on our campus to showcase modern, scientific farming techniques. We also bring these frontline demonstrations directly to your fields so you can see the results firsthand.
- Community Outreach & Events: We share the latest agricultural updates and connect you with experts by hosting field days, farmer fairs (Kisan Melas), farm visits, and informational radio talks.
- Youth & Student Education: We establish Farm Science Clubs in rural schools and villages to teach the younger generation about scientific farming. We also provide practical agricultural training facilities for higher secondary vocational students.
- Skill Development for Better Livelihoods: We offer practical education to rural youth and school drop-outs to help them build successful careers in agriculture.
- Women & Family Development: We provide specialized training in nutrition, home management, and cottage industries to support the overall health and economic stability of rural families.
